Christmas

Happy Holidays! It has been too long;I know! I feel like I'm just recovering from the Holidays;yet haven't hit the New Year yet!
These girls ould not be more spoiled we opened gifts at three homes ours included,but 3 of the 4 these girls got no less then 30 gifts each! I really don't think that is an overestimated guess by much! We opened everything,but I had to put some away because we couldn't fit or play w/ that much at once! So we now have a simi play room at my moms,J's mom's our house pretty much has enough for 2 play rooms an then some! It is crazy! We are having fun trying them all out,but my collecting days are over!NO MORE ROOM FOR MOM AND DAD!

Christmas

I haven't felt caught up with life for awhile,but now I feel alittle better! Poor Josie hasn't had professional pictures since birth! Finally we got the girls coats,Christmas dresses and yes pictures! Itwas fun went to Kiddie Kandids;love that place and you get pictures right then and there! Well we got Fall and Christmas pictures done,but we also got our Christmas cards! Yeah;I'm not ready for Halloween(still have details on costumes),but I'm ready for Christmas! NOT!

Relate to the BAHAMAS

Yes we all love that place! We'd move there minus the Hurricanes and the minus family part!
Anyway I was thinking how funny it was we all had something down there named after us or otherwise!
Daddy Jayson was just called Vin Diesel which I love!
Genevieve's was pretty cool! We took a tour of The Harbor Side time shares and our tour guides name was GENEVIEVE how cool was that! That Vive was one of 13,but don't worry babies not happening here!
Joesphine and I each had a little store named after us!
So see we belong there! They did tell us we are offically Bahamians!

Back from Bahamas

We finally made it to the Bahamas just 2 days later! Not bad since we thought the hurricane was gonna hit them,but didn't! It took 2 2hr. trips and a 2 hr. lay over,but we love that place! The girls did amazing and loved it just as much! We stayed @ Atlantis on Paradise Island which is just breath taking! We vied the Time Shares;maybe some day! Swam w/ the Dolphins,lots of food,drinks beach swimming ect.We took the girls on a water taxi to Nassau and the Straw Market! Just everything there is amazing! Jayson and I have gone 3 times now! Can't wait to return! I hear our next trip is to Vegas not much to copare! HEHE
I highly reccommend The Bahamas! The people are amazing! One tour guides name was Genevieve and we saw a store called Josephine's Treasures;so that was ool! Lots of pics to share once I figure that out!

Josie's 1st tooth

Yeah Josie has been well extra fussy and not sleeping well! Now we know why;she wanted to chomp on my figure and I felt her 1st bottom tooth coming in! Oh my Big Girl and she'll be exactly 7 months tomorrow!

MY DAUGHTER THE HURRICANE

I always knew my girls were DRAMTIC,but come on! Hurricane Josiphine is waiting for us with IKE in the BAHAMAS! Yes we are supposed to be there this week along w/ all of the hurricanes! Of course one is named after the same daughter I was pregnant with a year and a half ago when my in-laws first asked us to go! I didn't want to go while preggo so we planned for now! Great ahh!We have to wait to last minute to cancel in order to get our money back and reschedule! So now it is up to Mother Nature and the Bahamas airport to be closed 24 hrs. before we can cancel?
It is killing me either way! So much for a relaxing vacation for The Lightle Family!

Josie's 1st's

Josie is offically waving hello! She will do the front and backwards wave! She also says hi and Momma! I'm so proud! Oh she now can almost sit alone! She is eating puffs like a big girls and can roll to stomach both ways,but not stomach to back! Genevieve cracks her up;she will laugh out loud the fastest and easiest to her big sis Vive! Genevieve loves holding her and will ask to do so and also to feed her her bottle! They are just beautiful!

Josies 6 month check up

Josie had her 6 month check up today! Poor thing had 4 shots! She did good,but big sis got the popsicle!? Josie is 19 lbs. yes the 95% in weight! Head and height are 50%-75%! Wow I love my chunky monkeys!

POTTY TRAINED;i hope

Genevieve it seems like we have been Potty Training you forever! She'd get it for awhile and then regress! I think it was easier when I Nannied,but I really didn't deal with the nights too!
Anyway Vive got a form of a UTI;which they say was due to Bubble Baths,but that pain scared her enough that she's stayed dry since Sunday and today is Wed. night! She has been is underwear and no accidents;not even when I forgot a pull up at night! Yeah I think we've finally got it! Please Lord! Way to go MY BIG GIRL!

update on Bahamas post

Yep still asking Bahamas yet? Are we going? Airplane Bahamas! So I had a genius idea on what might help her though it isn't helping me now I see we have wat too many days til we leave! HEHE
Anyway I made a COUNT DOWN TO BAHAMAS calendar with her! We colored it and I got Bahamas stickers ect.
So everyday she can color another day off!
Don't know if it will help,but hey worth a shot!

Bahamas yet?

We've been planning our trip to the Bahamas w/ the girls since we found out we were pregnant with Josie! It has only been recently that Genevieve has become more and more excited! I think it has been the past week that she says everytime she wakes from nap or morning "I'm ready to go to BAHAMAS"! She will run out to the picture in our living room of The Bahamas and say"I want to swim w/ the dolpins,go to the beach and play in the sand ect" It is so sweet,but it has become sad because well she gets upset we aren't going yet! I don't know how we will make it til Sep.?
The thing is she may throw a fit til we get there,but I'll be throwing one when I have to leave there!
We are long over due;so bring it on!

Mommy working

I've been staying home with my girls for 3 years now,but the time has come that I had to go back! I didn't think it would come near this soon! I'm working Part Time,but that is my week nights and weekends! I never thought I'd give that up nor leave my girls,but the timing was right!I'm enjoying my new job and the discounts that come with it!
I think the girls are doing good too! They get more one on one time w/ Dad!
I feel better about having a steady income to help our family because we'll I love Discovery Toys,but it is based on commisson so ya never know what you might get?
All in all I hope this helps me be a better mommy getting a little break and bringing home treats for my girls!

JOSEPHINE MADELYN'S BAPTISM

Well at 5 months we had Josie Baptised @ St. Ferdinand Church. July 13th 2008. There were 5 other children;she was the youngest! It was an hour service they did after the main Mass;so that just those families were involved! We had our whole family and J's side too to support us then The Perkin's even made it to the after party! It was wonderful!
Josie did great she actually really liked when Deacon Joe poured the water on her head! Genevieve even got to play a role as big sister;Deacon Joe had the older kids go up on the alter to help Bless the water! How cute! Then Genevieve came up with us for the Blessing!
Very Proud of our girls!

My Girls

No I have not brain washed anyone,but those of you who know me knowI have collected a few Betty Boop things in my day! Well when Genevieve was little I know I remember her doing this same thing,but it wasn't until Josie did it today that I remembered it! Most of you can picture the Betty Boop statue I have on our entertainment center when you walk in our home! Well today I was holding my 5 month old Josie and all of a sudden she was all gums with that toothless smile of heres! What was she smiling and then talking too yes my statue of Betty is was swee like it was another person!
Anyway Genevieve will play with some of my Betty Boop dolls and ask to watch a video occasionally,but these are fun memories for me! Well because my collecting things for myself days are over! I wouldn't trade it for the world!

IMAGINARY FRIEND

Well I beliee my 3 year old has an imaginary friend and he is a boy! She just keeps talking about him,but nothing too crazy yet! Jayson and I just tried to question her about him,but nothing to exciting yet;just cute!

WHITE BIRCH BAY

Jayson,Vive, Josie and I all tried out our brand new Water Park tonight! It was very kid friendly! Thought it wold be packed on the 2nd day open,but it was perfect! It was good family time! I even tried out the slides the yellow one is much crazier than the orange one with the tube! Gena loved it all! Why does swimming make one so tired and hungry? Of course forgot my camara this time! Try it you will love it!

Our Family Farm

We have a family farm out in Jonesburg,MO! It was my parents,but now my oldest brother took over care of it for my mom! My Dad always talked about putting a lake out there on our 100 acres,but my brother finally did it for him! Dad would be so proud! We went to check it out last month and it was getting full,but by now could be flooding!Hope not really! The girls loved the water that we soon will fish in! This is a picture of Vive by the construction of it all!

Just precious

My girls are amazing! I thank God for them;though as you know our family will never feel complete because we are missing one member! Though Boo watches over us;we all miss the girls Big Angel Bro who watches over all of us!
Genevieve was saying silent prayers at dinner and daddy asked who she was praying for? She said Boo! She knows our rose garden is in honor of Boo and whenever we pick roses;she says these are for Boo! Priceless! I love my 3 babies!

Aunt Heather's Wedding

Genevieve was the best Flower Girl ever back in May 2008 for sister's wedding! She did an awesome job and danced the night away!

DANCE CLASS

Genevieve had her first dance class tonight @ LA Dance(little Angels)! There were 14 little 3,4,5 year olds and teachers;so needless to say that was too cute!( they will be splitting up the groups next week) They did so much stuff in 45 min.! My girl of course the one who couldn't sit still the best! She loved it so much that she cried all the way home! We went in to tell Dad "I had fun" though she had a pouty lip and tears! Dad was like you did then why are you crying? "because I want to do it again daddy" too funny!
Yeah mommy got the job @ The Children's Place!

Josie's 1st food

Yeah Josie graduated from bottle,cereal to sweet potatoes today! At first it was so sad she cried big tears when she tried it,but after a few licks she couldn't get enough! She ate a whole little container of one and then finished it off with the bottle! Wow! Nicely done!

ZOO TODAY

Nothing too exciting just thought we'd stay busy while everyone is well! The Lightle's headed out to the Zoo today and the weather was perfect! It was actually cool when we got there @ 10 a.m.,but we left on the light rain note about 1 p.m!
It was actually Josie's second time and she is only 5 months!
We got a membership;so it is nice we pick and choose a little each time!
Today we went thur Rivers Edge which really don't know why we bothered! Well pretty much the only animals out were the Elephants;that was cool we saw 4 up close!
Then we went to the Sea lion show, had lunch aat the Riverside Cafe because Genevieve had a coupon for a FREE lunch for her birthday,then we rode the ZOO (Genevieve was the one on back to say ALL ABOARD) and ended with the gift shop! Dad's a sucker Genevieve says Dad I'm gonna get this monkey and a pack of animals;HOW ABOUT THAT!(and she gives him a thumbs up) hehe she got two of course!
We had some good family time!
I highly suggest looking into the membership thing because parking alone is normally $10,but we get 6 times Free just on that!

Farmers Market/ Arch

Today after my interview ;we took the kids to the Soulard Market! We've never been and let's just say we saved a little money to eat well! They have it all! I highly reccommend the trip down!
Then we stopped by the Arch to see the floods! Just awful! Genevieve doesn't remember seeing the Arch up close so she enjoyed that while snacking on the fruits from the market! She loved the strwaberries and cherries best!
Later after naps we our headed to Quinny's house for a BBQ and to say by to the Shubert's again!(headed back to there new home in Tenn.)

Busy Girls

Well June 26th Jayson was off so we took the girls bowling @ the aesome SMOKE FREE Brunswick bowling in S. Peters! It was our second time there,but this time Genevieve had her very own SCOOBY DOO ball from PaPa! Yes the kids on the other side wanted it too!
She'll probably be bowling in Daddy's league soon!
Then we had double check up for both girls with Dr. Davis!
Poor Josie had 4 shots,but Vive none! Vive weighed in @ 35 age 3! Josie 16.6 @ age 5 months! My girls like to eat like mom! hehe!
Later after naps we met up w/ Christy,Jacob,Alex and the Stewarts @ ChuckE Cheese;since Christy was in town!

Music Class

Well we went to our Summer session to Gateway Music Together back @ the BSKI location! Genevieve remembers all of these songs and sings and dances along! Josie is sitting up with help @ 5 months and ready to dance or have her bottle and relax! We all love music class,the music,instruments,but the thing that is te best is that the teacher Ms. Holly is so real! She is super talented!
If anyone wants info on the class I'd be happy to share! It is one of the best choices I've made for my family;even Daddy enjoys!

Bath Time

I'm so proud my girls took their first bath together in the tub! It was so sweet! Genevieve being 3 and Josie 4 months and happy mom saving water! Of course later we went swimming in our kiddie pool! So much for saving water?

The Lightle's

ok here is my first try at this blog thingy?! today the girls and i woke up in my bed because daddy had his dad night out at the lake of the ozarks! so we had a slumber party!

then i treated the girls to go see a dance recital at the james eagan center! they loved it! genevieve is gonna start lessons this summer so i wanted her reaction! she was daning along;well so was 4 month old josie! the sat thru like an 1 hr and 1/2 show;not all but most of it! they are so good! the rest of the afternoon/evening were for naps and playing outside with daddo!
